About

Since 2016, family has been the cornerstone of Vestro. This philosophy exists in every aspect of the company - from our team, our client interactions to our approach.

We have combined our years of experience in complex commercial projects with our passion and expertise in residential builds, to provide enduring value for our clients. With the rigour of a large firm alongside  the personalised approach and dedication of a family business, we strive to make a positive impact on our clients’ lives - before, during and well after a build is complete.

Driven by an authentic love for what we do, guided by our technical expertise, and supported by our network of designers and suppliers, each Vestro home is built for lasting value. We believe exceptional spaces are the combined outcome of detail, integrity and dialogue. These are our driving principles which enable us to create distinctive, beautiful and functional spaces for life.

Christian Abou-Rizk
Director

Graduating from the University of Technology, Sydney with a degree in Construction Project Management, Christian began his career in 2010 with an established Australian construction company, Kell & Rigby.

During his time at Kell & Rigby, Christian worked on a range of projects from residential apartments to aged care facilities. In 2012, Christian joined Commercial Industrial Property (CIP) as a Contracts Administrator. Working on industrial projects, including warehouse facilities for a number of multinational corporations, he was able to expand his skillset in preparing tender documentation, negotiating with contractors and preparing contract agreements.

In 2014, Christian joined Meridian Homes as a Project Supervisor. His role was to manage the construction of a number of residential homes throughout Sydney, from concept through to completion. This included coordinating with designers, clients, trades and suppliers.

In January 2016, Christian established Vestro Homes. The aim was to take all the skills he developed over the years and focus them on a select number of projects a year. These projects would be highly detailed, quality projects requiring that level of attention and care; the perfect way to showcase his talents.

Tony Abou-Rizk
Site Manager

Arriving in Australia in 1971, Tony began his working career at the Ajax screw factory in Mascot. With a serious work ethic, Tony was ready to prove to his superiors that he could not only be trusted with responsibility, but also able to handle an increased workload. After six months, Tony was promoted to Supervisor. After ten years, Tony was offered an opportunity to work for a plasterboard and lining company.

On his first day on the job, Tony showed up with nothing but a sandwich and a bottle of water. That evening, he went to the local hardware store and bought himself a tool belt, hammer, measuring tape, Stanley knife and pencil. The next day, equipped and ready, some of his workmates laughed at his level of commitment. He told them that before they knew it, they would be working for him.

A few years later, in the late 80’s, an opportunity presented itself and Tony took on his first job as a qualified tradesman. These same workmates became Tony’s employees who were thrilled at the opportunity to work for him. Since then, Tony has been involved in all aspects of the construction industry, specialising in detailed, ornate plaster work through to the supervision and management of residential construction projects for Vestro.

We consider all of our clients, architects, suppliers or designers a part of the Vestro family; and in doing so, nurture long-term relationships built on mutual trust.

“We established Vestro with the vision to create distinctive, beautiful and functional spaces, honing the diverse skills and talents of our team.

Together with my father, we work hard to gain trust and be recognised for good, old fashioned service. We’re inspired by a different time in construction - think Australia in the 1970’s when a handshake truly signified someone’s word. Hard work and honesty. We want to bring that back”

- Christian Abou-Rizk, Director
